With the choice of 11 outstanding courses and 225 challenging golf
holes, your Destin golf outing can be most accurately described as
“variety at its best!”
Regatta Bay Golf Club -- Regatta Bay’s
6,829-yard, par 72, championship golf course was designed by Robert C.
Walker, the former lead architect for Arnold Palmer. Set among breathtaking
nature preserves, the challenging course provides an extraordinary golfing
experience for players of all levels.
In fact, readers from Florida Know Best: Florida Golf News magazine voted
the course “the #1 Favorite Golf Course in Northwest Florida” for four years
and readers of Emerald Coast magazine Best of Emerald Coast two years.
Additionally, Golf Digest ranked the course among its “Top 200 Places to
Play in North America,” as well as one of the “Top 15” courses in Florida.
Regatta Bay features the most advanced Global Positioning System, (GPS),
offered by Parview System.
Bluewater Bay Golf Club -- This golfer's
paradise offers 36 holes of championship golf designed by Tom Fazio and
Jerry Pate. With a Golf Digest 4-Star rating and voted "A Must
Play" by Golf Magazine, each course takes full advantage of the
unique terrain and picturesque scenery that surrounds it.
Kelly Plantation Golf Club --
Nestled along
Choctawhatchee
Bay, you’ll find Kelly Plantation Golf Club.
This impressive championship 18-hole golf course, located in northwest
Florida, was once a turpentine plantation located on a pristine piece of
land which has remained undisturbed for centuries. The intrinsic beauty of
this land has been fashioned into one of the most visually impressive and
environmentally sensitive golf courses in northwest
Floridawith miles of waterfront, intricate bayous and towering
trees.
Designed by golf course architect and PGA Tour player, Fred Couples, Kelly
Plantation boasts over 7,000 yards from the championship tees. You’ll find
large contoured greens, high definition hazards, and picturesque views.
Course conditions of this Destin golf course are first-rate with
meticulously manicured fairways and tees, pristine
Bermuda greens and perfectly raked bunkers. Before taking to
the links, you’ll want to warm-up on our extensive practice area which
includes an ample chipping area and putting green adjacent to the clubhouse
facility.
Emerald Bay Golf Club --
Destin is recognized as a top golf destination, and no where is it better
represented than at beautiful Emerald Bay.
Designed by Bob Cupp, Emerald Bay is a 18 hole championship course believed
by many to be one of northwest Florida's very best.
In 1992, Golf Digest believed it and voted Emerald Bay one of the top new
courses in the country. As you navigate the fairways and greens of this
6,802 yard, par 72 layout, you will enjoy breathtaking views of
Choctawhatchee Bay which borders part of the back nine.
Course ratings/slope
ratings range from 68.9/120 slope to 73.1/135 slope with a choice of four
sets of tees.
Indian Bayou Golf Club --
Indian Bayou
offers three nine-hole courses. Recently renovated and updated, Indian
Bayou’s 27 holes feature wide, forgiving fairways with beautiful lush,
undulating greens, majestic pines and sparkling lakes and water features.
Course combination ratings/slopes range from 68.9/121 slope to 74.7/142
slope with a choice of four sets of tees.
Shalimar Pointe Golf Club --
Shalimar
Pointes 18-hole championship course features impeccably manicured greens,
strategically placed bunkers, and a challenge for both weekend and scratch
golfers alike. A Finger/Dye designed golf experience.
Course ratings/slope
ratings range from 68.0/116 slope to 72.7/132 slope with a choice of five
sets of tees.
The Raven Golf Club --
The Raven Golf Club at Sandestin is a natural
wonder that presents drama and strategy on every tee. World-renowned
architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. crafted this unique and visually stunning
6900-yard, par 71 into what he calls “a true modern traditional.” With water
on 11 of 18 holes, Raven is a must play during your stay. The Raven was
voted “Best New Course In Florida” by Florida Golf News in 2000, and
Golf Magazine says, “The Raven gives the region its first true
marquee resort course.”
Baytowne Golf Club -- After carving
the masterpiece called The Links Course, Tom Jackson returned to Sandestin
to develop the course we call Baytowne Golf Club.
It gives guests the best of both worlds, with landing areas that invite
guests to unleash the driver, and greens that reward a strategically placed
approach shot. Tom Jackson created a heavily bunkered, pine tree-lined,
3300-yard front nine that runs along the Choctawhatchee Bay. The back nine
gives you a glimpse of the Gulf of Mexico while taking advantage of the
land’s elevation changes to create some spectacular views. Tom Jackson calls
every hole on Baytowne a favorite “because each one has a personality all
its own.”
The Links Course -- The Links
Course is the ultimate in risk reward golf that provides guests with the
most spectacular views on the Emerald Coast. Renowned architect Tom Jackson
designed this winding layout against the backdrop of the Baytowne Marina and
the Choctawhatchee Bay over 25 years ago. The Links Course remains
consistently ranked as one of the most challenging and fun courses in
Florida and has been named one of the “Top Five Courses in Northwest
Florida” and one of the “Top 100 Courses in Florida” by Florida Golf News.
In fact, the The Links’ 9th hole recalls the spirit of another fine “links
course”, the 18th at Pebble Beach, as it runs along Choctawhatchee Bay and
plays to a 536 yard, par 5. When playing The Links Course, we offer this
simple advice: hit’em straight and you will never lose your way.
Windswept Dunes -- To create a
one-of-a-kind golf course, designers must work to preserve as much of the
natural vegetation and topography as possible. Windswept Dunes
designer and builder Doug O'Rourke has succeeded on all counts.
Featuring miles of spectacular white sand dunes (some as high as 20 feet!),
large rolling fairways, artful bunkering and immaculate conditioning, this
track frames itself in rare, unspoiled beauty.
While the 750
acre setting is breathtaking, what makes Windswept Dunes truly remarkable is
that there are no crowds, no hustle and bustle at all. Here, off the
beaten path, it is easy to be serene; it is natural to be happy.
The spacious
18-hole is a demanding 7607 yards from the championship tees, but with five
additional sets of tees, offers challenge and excitement for golfers of all
abilities.
Heritage Plantation -
One of the Highest Rated Public Golf
Courses in the Nation!
Nestled among breath taking nature preserves and wildlife sanctuary,
Heritage Plantation is a true escape into golfer’s paradise.
Designed by acclaimed course designer Bill Bergin, this 7,328 yard,
par 72 course offers an extraordinary day of golf.
Behind the 10,000 square foot entrance building, you will find lush fairways
lush greens and more than 125 feet of natural elevation change.
